Watch: New spine-chilling footage of leopard on safari vehicle
New footage has emerged of the young leopard that leapt onto a safari vehicle at a private concession in the Kruger National Park.

Footage of a leopard on a safari vehicle at a private concession in the Kruger National Park gripped Caxton Network News readers this week, and now new footage has emerged of the spine-tingling encounter.
Published on Kenya Safaris’ Facebook page, the new clip appears to be taken by the ranger who came agonisingly close to the young leopard that leapt onto the Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge game-viewing vehicle.
Caxton Local Media previously reported that the leopard, reportedly just under two years old, was spotted two weeks ago during a sighting. Initial video footage – presumably taken by a guest or guide on another game-viewing vehicle nearby – has been spreading like wildfire on social media.

Caxton Local Media requested further comment from a spokesperson representing the lodge – asking how the interaction ended – but none was received at the time of publishing. The spokesperson previously sent a statement to the publication, in which the lodge said it does not condone this type of interaction.
“Our strict protocols are designed to protect both our guests and the wildlife we are privileged to observe, ensuring that all encounters happen in a safe and respectful manner. Guest safety, responsible wildlife viewing, and the respectful preservation of natural behaviour are at the heart of everything we do.”
