For Barack Obama to make a video message to support Macron....

For her to go through would be a HUGE upset for all the media and all the politicians.

If she doesn't make it, at least, things will no longer be the same after this campaign

    What newspapers forgot to print...
    Macron is gay.
He shares his life between lover Matthieu Gallet and old wife, Brigitte, his school teacher.

    Most frightening.
Pierre Bergé recently declared he wanted to abolish ALL CHRISTIAN CELEBRATIONS in vertu of the separation of church and state. Pierre Bergé was Yves Saint-Laurent's gay partner and a paedophile. The billionaire financed Hollande's campaign and got Gay Wedding in return, not without urging the Heroic resistance of the Catholics who all went down the streets. Bergé largely contributed to Macron's disastrous arrival and he wants his revenge against the Catholics. Some Catholic groups called to vote Le Pen but not the mainstream clergy. download (2).jpg PLEASE BOYCOTT YVES SAINT LAURENT DO NOT BUY YVES SAINT LAURENT

    Fuck off.
Recession is not a matter of taxation. It is a fact.
Blythe Master's CDS is not a question of taxation.
The Fed buying the US bonds with quantitative easing is not a matter of taxation.
Lehmann Brothers is not a matter of taxation.
Banks LOANING TO GREECE is not a matter of taxation.
Factories going to Poland is not a matter of taxation.
    Go live in Spain pal.
    I lived in Spain.
    The Spaniards are starving.
    SPECULATION DESTROYED SPAIN
Macron will bleed France like Obama has bled America.
The Guardian didn't predict Brexit, because their journalists like the comfort of their London office. They don't go to Stoke On Trent, to Barnsley, to Mansfield, they don't even know these places.

Not sure why the expletive and recession is not a matter of taxation but government debt is!

I have lived and worked all over the med and the taxation is not PAYE as it is in Northern Europe but is collected a year in arrears and well the laissez-faire attitude means it is often not collected at all, retiring at 55, generous state guaranteed pensions and on top of all that they have the weather!

The recession was about bent bankers and the med has its fair share of those!

    Grew up in Manchester!!

Is that real life enough for you?

It doesn't matter because everything is decided by the trilateral commission and the Rothschilds and freemasons .

It's now just a question of looking at our Currency and the street lay out in Washington DC and following the clues to see what our future political landscape will look like.

I just want to see what it's like to be a political conspiracist.

Even though it's all make-believe it's kind of fun :)

I too would like to see the European Union break up .

It was an experiment and I guess it might've been worth a try but Spain Italy Greece and even Ireland are a drain on the system .

    And me near enough Manchester.
But Manchester didn't vote the Brexit.
    Neither did Liverpool.

Brexit showed a country shared in two.
France is now shared in two as well, on the same issue: the EU.

The Industrial East is badly suffering. Paris and the West are still OK but how long for?

Britain has a long tradition of Euroscepticism with "We Want Our Money Back"
France, not so much, despite the few right wingers who capaigned aganst Maastricht and Amsterdam.
This trend OUT OF EUROPE has gathered a huge momentum.

It has been a fantastic opportunity to discover how the hell we got in such a mess

    - Jean Monnet
It is frightening to see how de Gaulle had it SPOT ON. He foresaw the war exactly as it happened. He foresaw this shit exactly as it is

I have not followed the news about what's going on next-door in Germany but I think that Merkel is running again later this year.

    This should also be interesting.

By the way has anyone ever noticed that she always looks as though she's afraid someone is about to hit her ?

Macron presidential campaign emails leaked in hack

    5/6/17

Emmanuel Macron’s presidential campaign said it had been “the victim of a massive and coordinated hack”, Reuters reported on Friday evening, after a large trove of emails was posted online, little more than a day before French voters go to the polls.

Some nine gigabytes of data were posted by a user called EMLEAKS to Pastebin, a document-sharing site that allows anonymous posting. It was not immediately clear who was responsible for posting the data or whether the emails were genuine.

An interior ministry official declined to comment, citing French rules which forbid any commentary liable to influence an election, and which took effect at midnight French time on Friday.

In a statement, Mr Macron’s political movement En Marche! (Onwards!) confirmed that it had been hacked. “The En Marche! Movement has been the victim of a massive and co-ordinated hack this evening which has given rise to the diffusion on social media of various internal information,” the statement said.

Comments about the email dump began to appear on Friday evening just hours before the official ban on campaigning began. The ban is due to stay in place until the last polling stations close on Sunday at 8pm.

When-- not if-- the EU breaks up, I hope it will be the final lesson that socialism is a pipe dream. The leeches and parasites of this world have to grow up, get off their asses, and make their own way.

I think that what will destroy socialism in Europe is this mass migration of people from the Middle East .

many of them have openly admitted that they want to go to Western Europe because of the availability of basically state welfare programs .

Once that system no longer works there are going to be about 40 million of these people who will be extremely disenchanted and that's where things are going to get very ugly

I don't hold out much hope for a good result as I learned a long time ago to never count on the French to do the right thing.

    Absolutely.

I used to debate this all the time with the closet communist DistantLover, before I put him on ignore for being the forum's biggest doughnut head.

He always goes on about the "successes" in tiny Scandinavian countries where everyone looks and acts related.

I would tell him that charity and pity (which is what socialism ultimately is) work best among family. Small villages will coddle the local halfwit, and let him be a grocery bagger from young adulthood into ripe old age. The village will subsidize the existence of the halfwit-- largely out of pity-- but also because for better or worse he is one of their own.

That's an oversimplification, but I think it applies also to societies. Charity and pity work best in culturally insular, homogenous societies. People take care of their own.

Socialism does not work in big, diverse, heterogenous societies-- and most especially those that are being flooded with strangers, such as ours. Socialism fails, because people will naturally and RIGHTLY resist being compelled to take food out of their own childrens' mouths, to feed parasites and leeches who look and act nothing like them, have no business being there, and are only there leeching because they're fleeing hell holes that they, themselves, helped to fuck up.

The politically correct call this dynamic "xenophobia," but it is simply human nature. We care for our own.

Anything could happen, but this is playing out in such a way that is disturbingly reminiscent of recent history. Macron is already preparing his victory speech. Just like a certain "Fire Pig"* whom so many of us know and revile.

I don't care one wit about France's election except for how it affects my retirement account. Le Pen is bad for the economy and if the EU breaks up it will likely take years for the market to recover.

I cast my virtual vote for Macron.

That's mainstream press fearmongering I think.

France and Germany are the two remaining EU countries with a decent GOP, and they are subsidizing the rest.

Does anyone think that if France exited the EU, Italy would no longer sell Fiats there? Or Spain wouldn't sell clothes and jewelry there?

And as for Greece, I don't even know what they make. What the hell do they export? Nothing. And no one in Greece can afford products from France or anywhere else, because the majority of them are either unemployed or working for government, which saps productivity.

The EU is a big lie. It has too many charity cases. Neither France nor anyone else should contine to coddle them.

I have no idea what to expect other than stocks will take a hit with a Le Pen win. They will recover because as you say, everybody needs a Fiat or some kind of commodity to work and exist, life goes on. However, how long it takes to recover is another thing.
I'd just as soon see things stay the way they are for nothing other than my own selfish reasons.
